Happy Holidays ‘08 Suckas! Behold: the tracks I’ve been bumping this winter time. Most friends (or in the extended friend fam), some not. Some released in ‘08, some not. This year the poet holds her tongue and saves the sappy year-in-review letter. All she asks is that you open your headphones and take a listen. The line up of how each song falls isn’t particularly considered and I know I am leaving out some really amazing sounds (plus, I don’t have the fancy mix n’ fade skills), but here’s to the hope these songs will bring you some joy, too. There is a clear reason I’m not in the occupation of DJ, but imagine this silly girl back in the day, middle school style, pressing pause on the tape recorder after each song’s last note, talking into the speakers with some witty personal commentary (or so she imagined it to be) and decorating the cover for her crush. You’re the crush this time. So listen wide open and do a little dance in your bedroom for me, m’kay? Love to all! Let’s make ‘09 IT.
