Kids Music for Adults. Carnival Pop. Just a few of the interesting ways my cousin Alec Betterley and his song writing partner Colin Summers describe the music of their duo My Friend Other. Here’s the thing. You already know Alec is my best friend in the world. I’ve known Colin since I was a kid. They first formed their band in high school, almost ten years ago. They have songs upon songs that I love. Don’t catch me at one of their shows or I will look like a straight out, no shame groupie (in the past I’ve been known to say to strangers, “I’m his cousin!” just to clarify. You know, reputation is everything.)
Point is, they are really good and their music makes me happy when I’m stuck in the deepest blues. I’m supremely proud. There is not much else to say. Take a look:
